This client was founding a platform centered around hopeful storytelling. Moved by the work of Elizabeth Lesser, this was our working inspiration for the project:
“It’s up to us to deny evil the attention it seeks. It’s up to us to demand stories of love and justice, to read and watch them, to validate and elevate them. To pay attention to the women and men who are doing power differently” ~ Cassandra Speaks
what i did
We are surrounded by tales of tragedy. From the morning news to our social media feeds to the very myths that we are raised with – we are buried with a never ending barrage of conquest and villainy
In response, fear, outrage, and hopelessness have become our strongest cultural sentiments, but it’s time for that paradigm to shift...
We are tired of subsisting on stories that perpetuate violence, stories that define power as domination, stories that make life a zero-sum game. We are ready for the FULL picture, where love and optimism are heralded alongside fights against injustice.
Because beauty and bravery are all around us – often unacknowledged but ever-present. It’s up to us to elevate them, and in so doing, reveal a collective story much larger and more inspiring than the one we have been told.
The people and stories we celebrate define who we are and set our trajectory. So by choosing where we put our attention, what perspectives we give power, and what values we uplift, we can rewrite the world a brave new ending.
The Eden Project exists to shake the foundation of our collective narrative by uplifting stories that redefine power, success, and heroism.
We envision a world where stories are used to connect us to our true nature as human beings – allowing us to see past our differences and know that we are one.
Rewriting the story of who we are.
We’ve been told a lopsided story – one of violence, division, and competition. But hope hides in plain sight. All around us exist different kinds of superheroes who are meeting the moment with compassion and cooperation. It’s up to us to shift our perspective and uplift the people who are doing power differently– those charting a course for a more connected world. Because what we pay attention to, we magnify.
